About Us

The Professional Bartenders Association was set up by bartenders, for bartenders to obtain training, find jobs and receive our national certification. Our staff and instructors have over 20 years experience in the bar business.

People ask us all the time about the differences between what we do and what a bartending school does. The first misconception we would like to clear up is that there is currently no such thing as a bartenders license in NJ or anywhere in the U.S., but there are certificates and certification programs.

The Bar business is controlled by the State Liquor Authority. The State Education Department tells bartending schools that they have to have a forty hour course, and meet all the state education requirements. The bartending association can do the exact same training in sixteen hours at a fraction of the price.

Our certification is accepted nationwide.
